| An Advance Purchase Code entitles you to obtain an Activation Code from the support website for each product. This simplifies multiple installations and situations where the computer on which the product will be installed is not available at the time of purchase. You can buy Advance Purchase Codes without having to give Product Serial Numbers. |
| Product Serial Number |
| The Product Serial Number is created during the installation and is unique to the computer on which the product is installed. The Serial Number is needed to purchase the Activation Code. |
| Activation Code |
| When you first install the product you have only very limited functionality. In order to unlock the full product you must purchase an Activation Code from your distributor. You must supply the Product Serial Number to your distributor in order to purchase an Activation Code. When you receive your Activation Code, simply open the product again and follow the on-screen instructions. Note: the Activation Code for one computer cannot be used with another computer. |
