IMDG Code e-learning information and support is available from this website.

AVAILABLE NOW: IMDG Code Amendment 36-12

IMDG Amendment 36-12 can be used from 1 January 2013 and is mandatory from 1 January 2014. There are new UN numbers going up to 3506 and some new packing instructions, as well as many detailed changes to the chapter and the DGL entries. Contact us and we will mail you a more detailed FREE overview of the changes.

IMDG Code training became mandatory from 1 January 2010 for all shore-side staff involved in dangerous goods transport by sea. Exis has developed a cost-effective training tool, in collaboration with the International Maritime Organization, which enables shore side sectors to receive high quality training that complies with both the general awareness and function specific training requirements in the IMDG Code.

Shore side staff requiring IMDG Code training include:- shippers and forwarders, container packers and consolidators, shipping line operations and booking staff, stevedores and port staff.

There are five levels of Amendment 36-12 training provided:
General awareness- for staff not directly involved in the day-to-day transport of dangerous goods by sea but who require an overview and familiarisation of the the IMDG Code provisions.
Function-specific- for staff directly involved in dangerous goods transport. The course can be configured according to the student's job role following the functions identified in the IMDG Code training recommendations.
Advanced course- in-depth IMDG Code training with all course content.
Refresher course- for those who require a refresh on the IMDG Code provisions and details of the latest Amendment update.
NEW Freight Forwarder course- specific training for those in a Freight Forwarder role

Please note: The Function Specific and Advanced courses include General Awareness content and, therefore, there is no need to take the General Awareness course separately.

There is also an optional configuration focusing on the additional requirements of 49 CFR when shipping into and out of the United States under the IMDG Code provisions.

IMDG Code Access - Students require access to the IMDG Code to take the course, either in book or digital format.
