Reconfiguring your course allows you to select other job functions and therefore take a different course. This option is particularly suitable for students who take on new dangerous goods responsibilities. You are permitted two reconfigurations, making three courses in total. Resetting your course clears your existing scores and takes you back to the beginning of the same course to start again. Each course may be reset once. Can I load the course on my office computer and my laptop by purchasing a single Activation Code? No. You would have to purchase separate Activation Codes and the two courses would not be synchronised for progress. Remote access to the computer running the course is the possible solution. Back to Index E-learning Frequently Asked Questions 7. For how long will the course run on my computer? The course is based on the current Amendment of the IMDG Code and will run on your computer for the life of the Amendment. The current Version 9 of the course is based on Amendment 34-08 of the IMDG Code which is valid until 31 December 2011. On that date the program will automatically shut down. Apart from this, there is no set time limit on your course. Until the expiry date you can re-set or re-configure your course up to three times (i.e. a further two times after the initial installation and configuration) and take it again (see, Can I start my course again?). Back to Index E-learning Frequently Asked Questions 8. If the course stops when the IMDG Code Amendment expires, what happens when a course is purchased close to the Amendment expiry date? A new version of the course will be published when a new Amendment to the IMDG Code is published by IMO. This is one year ahead of entry into force of the new Amendment, which is valid for two years after entry into force. So courses activated at the start of the cycle will run for three years or until the re-sets have been used up. The minimum is one year for a course purchased just before publication of the next Amendment. If you have a query on the IMDG Code Amendment cycle please contact imdgsupport@existec.com for further information. Back to Index E-learning Frequently Asked Questions 9.
