Summary of changes in the errata for Amendment 34-08


IMO have published an errata to Amendment 34-08 of the IMDG Code.

The current digital versions of the IMDG Code are fully compliant with IMDG Code Amdt 34-08 and will be upgraded to incorporate the errata early in 2010.

In summary the errata contains:

Minor updates to the wording of various chapters and provisions.

In packing instruction P001, composite packagings 6HA1 and 6HB1 are no longer forbidden for class 3 packing group I substances.

The new marine pollutant label is revised to show a fish without fins.

For UN 1913, 1951, 1963, 1970, 2187, 2201 and 2591 the stowage category changes from B to D.

For UN Nos 3126/7/8 and 3131/2 tank instructions and provisions T3 TP33 are added to the packing group II entries, and T1 TP33 to the packing group III entries.

In the printed book only, a rogue entry of UN 2687 Desensitized explosive N.O.S. is removed from the DGL. UN 2687 DICYCLOHEXYLAMMONIUM NITRITE remains unchanged.
